How to Use Whisper of Atonement in Diablo 3?
Diablo 3, the brightest in the Diablo game family, is returning. People still love playing this classic game even now. Blizzard Entertainment made it in 2012, and although it got good reviews, some players thought it was simpler than the older Diablo 2.
With the recent release of Diablo Immortal, fans are going back to Diablo 3 and wondering about something. They are curious about Whisper of Atonement – what does it do, and how can you get it?
Whisper of Atonement is like a super special gem that you win by doing Echoing Nightmare runs. Once you have it, you can make your other super cool gear even better. The level of Whisper of Atonement you get depends on how awesome you were in Echoing Nightmare. And guess what? You can make it even better by upgrading it. Just use the recipe called Caldesann’s Despair on your gear with the gems.
Now that you know about Whisper of Atonement and how to grab it, let us dig into the details of how it does its thing.
What do you understand by Echoing Nightmare?
It is like a fancy endgame thing introduced in Season 26. Once you reach the top level, you can collect something called “Petrified Screams.”
You use these Petrified Screams to open doors to the Echoing Nightmare. To get started, you need to be at least level 70.
Once you are inside, you will face a ton of attacks from many, many enemies in Echoing Nightmare. This adventure has two endings: either the waves of attacks get too much, or you get defeated. The longer you last and the faster you beat the waves, the higher your tier goes. However, watch out, it gets tougher with each round – the mobs become stronger and more challenging.
The creatures you defeat in Echoing Nightmare will not drop the usual loot like health, gold, or other common things. Instead, your reward is blood shards, experience, cool legendary items, and a new gem called Whisper of Atonement that makes your legendary items even better. Echoing Nightmares is kind of like Greater Rifts but way harder to finish.
What is the meaning of Whisper of Atonement?
These special gems make your legendary items better, but there is a catch. You can only get them by doing Echoing Nightmare runs; there is no other way. Also, you can make them even cooler by levelling them up, and the top level is 125 (depending on how well you do in Echoing Nightmare). However, if you are feeling adventurous, you can boost them all the way up to level 150 by conquering Greater Rifts.
Whispers of Atonement are part of the season’s deal. So, all the improvements you made to your legendary gear will stick around even after the season is done. However, here is the thing the gems themselves will not. If you have any leftover Whispers of Atonement when the season ends, they will disappear.
How can Whisper of Atonement be used?
After picking the stat you want to boost, grab 3 Flawless Royal Gems of that same type. Using these gems, you can enhance stats like Vitality, Strength, and Intelligence. However, here is the catch, you can only have one bonus on the item at a time. If you try to add another one, the old bonus goes away.
Once you use Whispers of Atonement, they are gone for good, and you cannot return them. Remember, if you do not use them by the end of the season, they vanish, but the bonuses you added stick around. Some players are talking about not having enough Royal Flawless Gems for all their Whispers of Atonement. Maybe Blizzard could add something to help with that?
Whispers of Atonement and Echoing Nightmare are like classic endgame tasks meant to keep you hooked on the game and level up yourself and your gear even after hitting the level cap. It can get tough, and it might feel like doing the same things repeatedly, so be ready for that and bring plenty of patience.
Once you have got Whispers of Atonement, use them smartly to improve the stats where you think you need an increase the most.
