In Baldur’s Gate 3, there is a cave called the Owlbear Cave. It is located west of the Blighted Village and to the north. When you reach the cave, you have a choice: you can either fight the Owlbear and defeat it, or take a more peaceful approach by sneaking past it or talking to it.

Once you have done that, you can talk to the mother Owlbear and convince her not to attack you, as long as you avoid getting too close to her cub.
For a stealthier approach, head to the left side of the cave where there are craggy rocks. Climb down toward the pool in the center of the Owlbear Cave. There, you will find the Gilded BG3 Selune Chest a glowing blue chest surrounded by water waiting for you.

“Do not try to open the chest because a magic spell will hurt your character a lot. Instead, jump over the space to get to the statue. There is a hidden spot behind the statue. When you explore this spot, you will find a special paper called a Selûnite Prayer Sheet. Grab it and jump back to where the chest is.
The next step is a little tricky. You need to give the special paper to a character who knows a lot about Religion, but make sure it is not Shadowheart. For the best result, have Shadowheart wait at the beginning of the cave or even outside. Most characters can do this part well, especially Lae’zel and Astarion.
Now, go near the chest, look in your bag, pick the Selûnite Prayer Sheet, and have the knowledgeable character read it. If it is not working, let other characters try reading it too. This should unlock the fancy chest without it hurting anyone. If it still does not work, try standing in a different spot in front of the chest.
