Forza Motorsport 7
With Forza Motorsport 7, finally the racing game is well-tuned. It’s as polished as those 4K visuals, with improved artificial intelligence and better handling, more realistic collisions, and everything you need to make all the cars feel extra good. When you push the cars to their limits, that precision in the controls makes for some great moments, as you’re pushed around corners on the ragged edge of what your brakes and tyres can handle.
The end result is an adventure that’s as realistic as it is enjoyable, though you may want to reconsider your plans on days when the progression needs just a little too much work out of you. Yet, however much of a grind it may be, this remains one of the best racers on the market.
Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite was years in the making and racked up more than a few Craig-sized bumps along the way. But when it finally sauntered onto consoles, players were duly shocked by how compelling and focused it is multiplayer was while at the same time marvelling at the vast open world-shaking things up in Halo’s traditional single-player story.

For Xbox One owners, perhaps the biggest benefit of all is having Sea of Thieves to themselves. In Rare’s rising pirate actioner, players cruise the high seas across the big blue.
